Aquatic Biome Nature Walk

This week we have been studying the aquatic biome so we decided to visit some watery areas for a nature walk. First we went to Burragorang State Conservation Area where we took in the lovely view of lake Burragorang.

Lake Burragorang.

Next we headed to Thirlmere Lakes National Park to get a close up view of a lake environment. We saw lots of wildlife including birds, fish, butterflies, dragonflies, beetles, spiders and more. We also heard many frogs and discovered some burrows which we thought might belong to wombats. As we walked around the lakes we observed the different plants growing in the surrounding wetland and in/on the lake.

R finds a burrow maybe a wombats?

R carries a stick to beat off the spider webs.
