Kew Gardens + Eden Project

Over the last two days we went to both the Kew Gardens and the Eden Project in the UK.

St Kilda botanic gardens was quite small but had some nice roses.

Blue Lotus water garden

On our trip to the Dandenong ranges we went to this water lotus/lily farm and took thousands of pictures!

Ceres Organic Farm

We went to Ceres organic farm today, which has a large variety of plants, animals and delicious food. There is a market garden, of which the produce goes to the cafe on site or to their grocery.

The community garden plots were growing really nicely, with tomatoes and pumpkins especially looking good.

We tried the cafe with its garden grown produce (10/10!) It was super nice. There was also chickens, a community bike shed and mini market.

Ceres

Heidie museum and garden

We went to the Heide museum and sculpture garden, which had some very nice flower gardens. There was a wide variety of roses of all colours.

A very fragrant rose, but unfortunately the only one of its colour.

These were my favourite white roses out of the large selection.

This was my absolute favourite flower I saw, with its large, scented, apricot blossoms.

And, lastly a few feathery daisy flowers.

Fitzroy Garden Trip

Today we took a walk around Fitzroy Gardens.

There were a few fountains, including the Dolphin (and other sea creatures) fountain.

We saw a mossy old fountain that had a rustic, preserved look.

There was also a statue of Diana (the Roman goddess of hunting) with her hounds.

In Fitzroy Gardens there are a wide assortment of flowers, but the hydrangeas stood out to me.

I saw them in a few colours, but these blush pink ones were my favourite.

Around the place were a few whimsical, fun sights including a carved 'fairy' tree!

There was also a model Tudor village.

Cooks Cottage and Fitzroy Gardens

The Fitzroy Gardens in Melbourne offer 26 hectares of lush greenery, walkways and monuments, including Cook's Cottage, the oldest building in Australia. We explored the cottage and strolled through the beautiful gardens for a peaceful escape from the city. With its historical significance and serene atmosphere, the Fitzroy Gardens and Cook's Cottage are a must-visit for nature lovers and history buffs alike.

Community garden

 

On sundays we go to a community garden, and work there for a while.

Edible Garderning

This is my new gardern bed. It's got peas, beans, garlic, spring onions, carrots (they havent come up yet though), and marigolds.

Above is my indoor gardern, and a potted pineapple. I'm not sure if the pineapple will grow, but I hope it does!

Above is my herb gardern which I made, and also our pallet herb gardern, which my dad and brother made, and I planted.

Underneath the pallet are some spring onions, peppers, and marigolds.

I am also growing succulents!
