Things We've Made Lately
Here are a few of the children's latest creations. Above is a bear by R made using pattern blocks.
L use Ello for her "fashion podium" creation.
They have both been cooking. L made muesli and R used a Roald Dhal cookbook to make "wasp stings on toast".
Joondalup Festival
Recently we attended our local festival in Joondalup. It's all free and we got to play lots of old fashioned fairground games, meet performers and enjoy music and circus shows.

In the evening we joined some of our new friends from Homeschool WA as we paraded our creations in the lantern festival.
Titanic
We went to Perth Exhibition centre to see the Titanic exhibition. The children enjoyed the mock-ups of the ship, costumed characters and the "real" iceberg. We were given our boarding passes and at the end checked to see if we had survived. Just like in the real disaster only 1 out of 4 of us made it home.

We had lunch nearby at Elizabeth Quay which is still half finished. We liked the sculptures and the Bell Tower building.

Sculptures by the Sea - Perth 2016
It's time for Sculptures by the Sea here in Perth. It was a beautiful day for a walk on the beach surrounded by strange and beautiful artworks.
Crochet sculptures |
This sculpture (below) is powered by the wind and draws its own pictures.
We walked along the beach a way to the very unusual sundial.
