China in the Middle Ages

This week we have been using Story of the World and Intellego to investigate China in the Middle Ages. The children made this Mongol nomad's tent with skewers and fabric. The Lego people soon moved in.

We tried paper making, Chinese calligraphy and watercolours.

The children even cooked up a delicious Chinese satay chicken from scratch.

Snacks Galore

The children have continued with knife skills, peeling, grating and mixing this week by making snacks. First up were tasty fruit skewers.

The children made their own wheat free wraps and cheesy bread. They used the breads to make triple decker sandwiches.

They also made this tasty fruit and nut mix.
