World of the Book at the State Library of Victoria

 

Today we visited the "World of the Book 2022" exhibition at the State Library of Victoria in Melbourne. The exhibition shows a selection of rare books from the cuneiform tablet, to illustrated manuscripts, printed books and art books. There are also some interesting films about select rare books in the library's collection. Here are some pictures of our favourite items.

Heide Museum of Modern Art

 

Today we went to the Heide Museum of Modern Art where the biggest current exhibition is Barbara Hepworth sculptures. 

The smaller exhibition space compliments the Barbara Hepworth by showing other modern art pieces with the theme "holes". 

Outside there are many more sculptures within the landscape.

The museum also has a a couple of lovely kitchen gardens.
