Farnborough Air Sciences Museum

Today we went to the Farnborough Air Sciences Trust museum. This small museum is free to enter, open on weekends and public holidays. The children tried out the fighter plane simulator and chatted to the friendly volunteers. We found out all about Samuel Cody who flew the first sustained flight in the UK at Farnborough. The flight lasted 27 seconds before it crashed to Earth! We saw the replica of his plane and found out all about his crazy life which also included manned kite flights.
