This week the children have been writing cartoon strips based on stories from the history of Camden. Both stories featured poo!
Above is R's version of the story of Camden floods. When the Nepean river burst its banks in the 1800's the cows were evacuated to the only piece of high land with a fence around it - the local school. Of course the playing fields soon became covered with cow pats, and the schoolmaster was most displeased!
L's cartoon below shows the story of the night-soil man's fully laden wagon crashing into the town's drinking fountain, resulting in human waste being sprayed across the street.
