National Museum Of Australia

Scoop from an Australian mining bucket

For our last morning in Canberra we visited the National Museum. We didn't have a huge amount of time before we needed to drive back up to Sydney so we had a general look around. The children enjoyed K Space where you can design your own futuristic buildings and vehicles on an imaginary planet. You can view your creations in 3D in a short film. We also looked around the landmarks and aboriginal galleries along with the museum garden.

This is a living space and workshop rolled into one and the owners travelled Australia with their tool sharpening business. They slept inside whilst all their tools and machines hung around the outside.

The garden is made from a huge Australia map
