Hands-On Alexander
Today we went along to the Australian Museum in Sydney especially to have a look at replicas of armour and weapons used by Alexander the Great. The children got to talk to the experts about the objects and to try some of them on. They were really heavy. We found out that, as well as looking rather cool, the plumes on the helmets helped to stop arrows piercing the armour.
