State Library

Melbourne's State Library is a treasure trove of knowledge and history. Not only does it house a vast collection of books, but it also has a rich history dating back to the mid-19th century. In recent years, the library has embraced new technologies, including 3D printing. This technology has revolutionized the way we create and design objects. This 2009 3d printer looks a little different from ones nowadays, but it still helped print parts for artworks displayed here.
In addition to 3d printed artwork, something that stood out was this "midget book" collection.

Heidie museum and garden

We went to the Heide museum and sculpture garden, which had some very nice flower gardens. There was a wide variety of roses of all colours.
A very fragrant rose, but unfortunately the only one of its colour.
These were my favourite white roses out of the large selection.
This was my absolute favourite flower I saw, with its large, scented, apricot blossoms.
And, lastly a few feathery daisy flowers.

Melbourne Gardens, Art & Architecture

Melbourne has an amazing array of gardens, architecture, public art, and galleries. First up today we visited Fitzroy Gardens and Cook's Cottage.

We crossed over the train lines to Federation Square for some crazy architecture, the ACMI, Ian Potter Gallery and Koorie Heritage Trust.
