November Hols #2 Bali

We made up for our lack of running water and electricity on the campsite with a trip to Bali! R was soon on 1st name terms with the water-sports guys whilst L enjoyed the ice-cream on demand. We took a trip out to see some of the sights in Bali but mainly we lazed around.

L and I tried Weaving, vegetable carving and batik.

We visited a coffee plantation. Here mongooses eat the coffee beans and their poop is collected and the beans saved. Apparently this makes the coffee taste better and have less caffeine.

We also visited the monkey forest where hundreds of the cheeky monkeys pose for photos.

November Hols #1 - North to Coalseam

Our first holiday in November! We drove north with some friends to Coalseam Conservation Park to stay at the beautiful wildflower filled campsite. However it looked like they had much less rain in the last few weeks compared to Perth and the flowers we over and replaced by hoards of dreadful flies! We still walked along the dried up river bed looking for fossils, coal and interesting rocks.

Sick of the flies we retreated to the coast at Cliff Head where the kids had fun on the beach.

The children entertained us around the campsite with their ukuleles.

After a few days of chilling out we travelled back home to Perth taking in the Pinnacles on the way.
