After our previous success with portraits I thought we would try a family group portrait. To take out the tedium of making a guideline drawing first I provided each family member with a base drawing to work on. I made this using scrapbook software and printed it out lightly on cartridge paper.

Each family member took a turn to sit in front of the others who were drawing them. The person modelling used a mirror to look at themselves. L became very grumpy with this and walked off, hence the grumpy girl in the pictures. Here's R's masterpiece, it reminds us of "the Scream" by Edvard Munch.
