One Point Perspective Rivers

We have been looking at aquatic environments this week. I saw this perspective drawing on smART class so we decided to have a go at drawing a river in perspective.

To warm up we had a go with watercolours and we tried working on dry and damp paper to see how it changed the effects we could make.

Next the children worked on a guided drawing in pencil to produce their perspective pictures. We talked about how things look smaller when they are further away.

Then the children painted their pictures with watercolour and outlined them with black markers.
