Today we worked on another lesson from "Drawing With Children" by Mona Brookes. First we warmed up by trying some negative space drawing exercises from the book. The children did surprisingly well as this is very difficult.
Next we worked on a picture of a lily using watercolour pencils and markers. I showed R how to add shadow to the picture by using 3 different shades of colour. Once the drawing was completed we washed over the watercolour pencils using a small brush and turned them into watercolour paints.
